It’s been a month since we started our strategic planning meetings. The time is sure moving fast, but it’s easy to see the fruits of our hard work. After four meetings, ASL is much better off. We have a well-organized company with definite goals and responsibilities set for each department. With the meetings we are setting up a platform to start developing our outreach programs. We hope to keep up the pace after the finals cool off. (Don’t forget – most of us are college students!)
Alas, we were denied the CAR Grant, but the good news is that the American Cancer Society Northern California Chinese Unit would like to work with us to develop a Chinese Cancer Resource Database. We have also plans to start developing a Spanish-language version of our site by the end of the summer. Yay for being multilingual!
We are also still seeking volunteers for all kinds of internships over the summer: graphic designers, IT majors, business and marketing majors. If you’re interested, e-mail us your resume and cover letter:
What's more, we need Web Programmers and Writers to help us with our web site and with articles for QuestEM. We need your help and you need the experience!
With all of our hearts, A Single Light
