A Single Light is looking
for energetic and passionate individuals with a desire to make a
positive impact in the community. Currently we are looking to fill the
following volunteer positions with in our organization.
Activities
Volunteer Volunteers
wanting to be involved in the following activities must agree to a
minimum of three months of community with A SingleLight (ASL).
Data Entry
Supplies
the information for the Cancer Resource Database (CRD) found online at
our website http://www.asinglelight.org.
The CRD is designed to give people affected by cancer information on
local support services and resources available
to them in their neighborhood, community, and city. The CRD can be used
to
find services and resources at all stages of cancer treatment,
diagnoses, and post treatment.
Capturing the Light
Designed
to capture every moment of joy, hope, and courage for those affected by
cancer.The program is to photograph people affected by cancer so they
can have photosof themselves, their children, or their family in order
to remember them during treatment, how they were before treatment, or
to honor them if they have passed. Local photographers work directly
with clients to determine the scope of the project and client needs in
order deliver a high quality finished product that will last a lifetime.

Volunteers do not need to know how to sew in order to participate.
Committees Volunteer Volunteers
wanting to be involved in the following committees must agree to a
minimum of six months of community with A SingleLight.
Fundraising
Helps
design, carry out, and record all aspects of ASL
Public
Relations and Marketing
Helps
spread the word of ASL, its activities, andmission
Development
Helps
ASL develop as a nonprofit organization
Technology
Carries
out all aspects of technical needs of ASL.
