Well its been a bit since you have heard how A Single Light has been however its time for a update! On March 17th 15 volunteers got together for another database entry event and were able to input over 100 organizations into the Cancer Resource Database. When they left each volunteer promised to continue their work at home committing to inputting another 10 organizations into the database. Our fundraising team was able to set up a fundraising event with Comedy Sports in San Jose on 2nd Street and San Carlos. Three dollars of every ticket purchased will go to us! Please bring the attached flyer with you to Comedy Sports for each person that buys a ticket on our behalf so we can receive the credit (see below). GOOD JOB FUNDRAISING TEAM! We have had eight new volunteers join A Single Light. However we are in need of Web Developers and Graphic Designers to help grow our website. Thanks for everything and for your support! A Single Light

Hello everyone! The winter holiday season craze has started, and we haven't been idle either. We are pleased to inform you that we held our first gift wrapping in Barnes and Noble on December 2nd, and that it went just splendidly. We had a lot of fun and managed to raise some funds for our cause. We plan to have two more gift wrapping events for Barnes and Noble customers on December 22, 23 and 24, so don't miss this wonderful opportunity to get to know us better, ask questions, and help us raise funds while we help you do your holiday shopping! You can find us inside the Barns and Noble store at the Eastridge Mall on the following dates: 12/22 from 6:00 to 10:00 PM 12/23 from 2:00 to 6:00 PM 12/24 from 9:00 to 2:00 PM We really hope to see you there! And last but not least, we are extremely grateful to everyone who donated money to support us as well as to the volunteers who came to help out! Good job! We are also thankful to Barnes and Noble, who provided us with this opportunity.

Hello! We just wanted to say thank you to all of you that attended our picnic today. The food was excellent, the company was outstanding, and the support from the community was over whelming. From the picnic we received cash donations totaling $250 dollars and a donation of two web servers to help us maintain and run our website. For those of you that missed the picnic we plan on having one next year! You can look forward to another game of kick ball, good food, and great company. We want to thank the Rose Garden Neighborhood for letting us have the picnic in their beautiful San Jose Municipal Rose Garden. With all our hearts! A Single Light |

Exciting news once again! A Single Light took part in the American Cancer Society's Relay for Life in Campbell. Our volunteers have been honored to read the names of cancer survivors and of people who have died of cancer. We also participated in the candle-lighting ceremony! We would like to thank everyone who attended; it was excellent! With all hearts, A Single Light
