Hello Everyone!
We are pleased to say that things around here are moving along nicely. In the past week or so A Single Light has started talks with the American Cancer Society Northern California Chinese Unit to translate its database for the Chinese community into Chinese. This will help connect the underserved population of the San Francisco Bay Area to rescores that may help them find the support they need while fighting cancer.
We also inputted two new organizations into our database. One is The Teddy Bear Foundation and the other is the California Health Collaborative making 38 organizations in our database.
A Single Light also held a meeting last April 27th at SJSU. At the meeting we discussed how A Single Light could leverage community resources so the database could meet our goal of containing 150 organizations by May 30th.

Hi everyone!
We wanted to let you know that yesterday A Single Light held a strategic meeting in downtown San Jose to discuss such issues as strengthening the board of directors, expanding its services, and increasing awareness about the company. At the meeting we decided to set priorities for the organization and goals for each board member to ensure focused and productive development. From now on, the board meetings will be held on a weekly basis.
We are all excited to continue serving the community, and we hope that our work can bring a positive change.

Hello everyone!
We just wanted to share the good news with you all... we just added the 25 nonprofit organization offering services to cancer patients to our database. The organization that we added is Links For Life and they can be found on the web at http://www.linksforlife.org or more importantly they can be found in our database. Just some of the services they are offering to those affected by cancer is their Wig Boutique and no cost Mammograms to low income women in the Bakersfield area.
We want to thank all of the organizations in our database because if it weren't for all of them, A Single Light would not be able to operate has a nonprofit!

Hello!
I just wanted to say thank you for coming to A Single Light.org. It has taken a bit to get to this point as a nonprofit, however, now that we have our updated website, please continue to come back and look around.
This blog section of A Single Light.org is meant to keep everyone up to date on whats happening with us. Look here for updates on new organizations inputted into the database, new volunteers that have joined A Single Light, or for general news that we feel everyone should know about.
